The challenge of leading the local assembly may arguably be considered to be both more demanding and more critical now than at any other point in the history of the church in our nation. How can elders and other leaders in the assemblies adequately shepherd and guide the church when so many influences are waging war on the health of the local assembly and the spiritual vitality of the assemblies at large? Leaders of churches across the US are facing these same questions.
